Kite Surfing with limp ;o) action

Headed out to try and get some kite surfing photos and it was pretty dull ( the action not the weather) ... got a few interesting photos but all the action was way out of range of my 200 ;o( ... do wish the 100-400 would come out soon

So I turned my attention for more lifestyle photos rather than trying to get action - and it just goes to show when your concentrating on someone you forget whats right in front of your eyes

Well an interesting set that's for sure! And you honestly set out to capture the wind surfers

The third is the best of your intended prey.

And boy, that guy loves the sun or what

cheers Alan - I agree the third is the best of them, but the crop is pretty heavy and I really needed more reach

Funny thing is with the sun lover I really didn't see him and it was only when he walked past the the Mrs asked me " did you just take that nudest photo....what nudest

I have tried taken photos of kite surfers and found that to get the surfer and the canopy in the frame, the pics looks a little to small. Therefore i concentrate on the surfer, as Alan said the action is in the surfer and you will get better pics by going in tight with him or her. Good luck. Danny.

agree Danny it does seem the better way forward, just seems shame to loose such a massive part of the sport - but we'll see I'm hoping to return to this for more attempts
