    Just a bit of fun

    Took the dog for a walk and got some shots of the guys trying to stay on boards .....really do need a 600-800 lens for this

    All taken with 100-400 1.4 at max which is 560 for me - these are also 50% crops

          cheers Stan - pleased the way the new lens works and with the 1.4 still very fast - but you can see why guys that enjoy this sport bolt on the big 600-800 mm primes. I basically went to max zoom and stayed there

              Very nice, Ian, definitely proven that you can get sharp images with that combo. Particularly like the 1st, with the surf balancing the image perfectly.
