Silverstone - Classic Sports Car Racing

I was lucky enough to be asked along with Dave Stallard (top bloke I have to say) yesterday as he shot the event. I followed him around, but the wrong side of the fences . Still, I managed to rattle off well over 1400 pictures, emptied two full batteries and got a soaking too. Dave taught me a lot about settings and technique, all while he was working. And to add to that, he wife Cory lent me her 300 F4 which I coupled with my 1.4 extender. All in all well pleased with my results, the majority in focus too! Most I ended up shooting at Tv 160 to try to get some panning action.

Never did manage to get the two cortina's in one shot, deleted the ones I had as they just didn't work so very well done on that one. Next time we will aim for somewhere with less fencing to get your panning speeds right down ;-)

Well done Alan & David. I don't recall there being any rain yesterday just down the road a bit here in Buckingham - just shows the Silverstone micro climate is still alive and well.

I did shoot the Cortinas a lot, great motors.

Actually if that was Saturday it was a bit monsoonal here for about 15 minutes or so as well.
