    Hillclimb 1

I went to Gurston Down Hillclimb event yesterday.

Out in the middle of nowhere, with no facilities to speak of - one cafe, one ice cream van and a couple of portaloos. But, cars action and atmosphere in abundance.

    Hi Colin

Saw the signs to that on the way to Foxhills MX on Sunday, looks like a good event. Do they hold regular meetings

Yes Stan, it's a championship course. Google Gurston Down and it will give you the dates.

So pleased you responded, I was beginning to thing that nobody liked this pretty little "Frog-Eye", which was doing very well in its class.

I like it. Don't remember seeing one at the car show on Sunday. I prefer cars that are sat still at a show - much easier for me to photograph.

I'd reccomend the British Championship meeting on August bank holiday week-end. F1 type single seaters, although they accelerate faster - approaching 160mph into the first bend. Paddock access is free and you'll find the drivers more than willing to chat and show you round their cars.
