    Rockingham was. . .

First time at Rockingham and to be honest - not that impressed, I know a large number of drivers didn't like it much and from a photography point of view - I struggled to find anything to get excited about (biggest challenge was getting a shot without 'Rockingham' in huge blue letters in the background or the rather fetching totally empty silver grandstands)

Saturday was scorchio maximo and Sunday was - damp to start getting soaked to the skin, then with waterproofs still on becoming 'boil in a bag David' ending the day with severe sunburn "awesome"

Few that were ok - 1dx, saturday was the 200-400 (trying to get my head around a monopod) and Sunday was the old faithful - handheld 70-200 with 1.4 extender (you know what - damned if I can see 6k difference)

    #1 1/160, f/9, iso 100, 200mm where were we again?

    #2 1/125, f/10, iso 100, 362mm 3 abreast over the rise (Rockingham I think)

    #3 1/400, f/4.5, iso 100, 280mm did I mention it was damp for a while?

    #4 1/500, f/5, iso 100, 265mm Green flag lap - grabbed the group shot whilst I could

#5 1/250, f/5.6, iso 100, 98mm I may have been running out of ideas / angles by now

#6 1/100, f/14, iso 100, 98mm did come across this angle right at the end of the weekend - typical

It really was a struggle so I hope you find something to like.

Yes...Rockingham is an odd place. Been a couple of times, don't really want to go back....But you have got a couple of good'uns there mate. The last 2. Like # 5 alot. Very unlike you. You usually squirm at these kind of shots, and #6, is that just before they head back out on the straight. Very nice pan.

An excellent set David, particularly like the shot through the armco.

I'm liking the last 2 images David #5 is very different and #6 has great movement and sense of speed.

Nice set David, despite the conditions! That last one is a belter. Quite like the first too, with the blurred writing. What does it say again.....

              Great work,

I've been to Rockingham once as guest of Wix racing for the touring cars, can't think of a worse place to photograph though, have zero intrest in shooting there but looks like you've done really well, maybe I should reconsider!, especially like the last image.

Given the conditions and the concrete jungle that is.....now where was it you've done well as ever Dave
