funny this is the organiser walked over to me and asked to see some images on the camera - I showed him and he asked if I could upload some to dropbox for his blog he does as his shots ( little compact) come out naff ..... so he's got about another 30 odd

Thanks for my personal shot, Tigger, I agree he'd be improved without the pink "halo" !

Public events like this are difficult to photograph, i think, mostly due to the sheer numbers of people & colourful objects around getting into the shot. Heads, legs, red shirts, phones held up for photos, advertising boards, etc etc. Done our local village fiesta this weekend, and still working my way through mostly gaff shots. Still if you capture the essence of the event that's the main thing.

Expect you enjoyed the challenge................!

Nice, Ian, you've caught the action really nicely, and a shutter speed of 1/2000 has served you well.
