    Goodwood 74 Member's Meeting

    Hi all

    I attended the above event last Sunday, and it was very cold indeed, with a rather nasty wind blowing too! However, in-between shivering I managed a few shots!

    In the spirit of the theme, I went B&W for this one...

    Excellent day out, if rather expensive for ticket, petrol and food (3 sausage rolls and 3 coffees... £25!).

    This motor racing lark isn't my usual bag, so happy to get comments!

    nice set Mike - really like the first one

    not keen on the vignette used - don't think it fits in the genre of this photography

      Cracking set Mike, the first ones a belter and it suits the B & W conversion.
      tried panning and failed miserably.
      It really is a skill.

            Potentially some nice images there, though agree with earlier comment that the vignette doesn't really suit.
            Certainly a half decent attempt at motor racing photography lark, well done.

                    Good series Mike, nice wheel blur on the first image, a well captured set .

                    I agree with others regarding the vignette in the second and third image which; I think is made more noticeable because of those two images being adjacent to each other IYSWIM, the last two are spot on especially the DOF you have used in the last one.

                        TBH, I was unsure about the white vignette, but I'm using it in more of my shots ATM so I thought I'd go with it here! Split opinion, which is OK!

                        I agree the first shot is probably the better one, but I do like the others too! If I was going to use them in any club comp, I would probably remove the vignette.
