RCAF F18 at Toronto International Air Show

Parts of the CF18 going supersonic as evidenced by condensing water vapor as pilot engages afterburners over Lake Ontario.

Taken with T6i with both OLPF1 and OLPF2 removed from sensor assembly and Sigma 500 mm f/4.5 prime. This is a hyper resolving DSLR - you can clearly read "4 Wing Cold Lake" in both English and French on the vertical stabilizer, the home base of this craft, on the original uncompressed image.

I have an online tutorial about this modification in the DIY section!

My Dropbox link for original full sized image.

A nice shot and it's really good to see a new member posting right away.

    A couple of things, though...

Certainly it's 'action photography' but there is a group on here for Air (under Transport) but that's minor. The main one is that it's a direct upload and we know that there is far too much image quality lost using this method with uploading via Flickr preferred.

    Cheers,
    John
