Wet muddy weekend in the Welsh hills. Challenge keeping the 7D / 500F4 dry!

Good pictures - where were you? It looks fairly open, so I'm guessing Walter's Arena/Sweet Lamb/Hafren area?

#4 is the one that gets my attention. It's the sort of awkward landing that can spit the car out in an awkward direction and the spectators look a little close. I'm surprised they were allowed to be at the exit of a yump like that, I certainly wouldn't stand there.

My favourite imag is #3. It gives a good impression of just how well these cars deal with some pretty difficult conditions.

Sweet Lamb - you guessed right. 3,4 and 5 in the Bowl and 1 and 2 back up the hill towards the start where there are a couple of nice jumps - blowing a gale and rain in the afternoon.

I've covered the start of Sweet Lamb a few times over the years, and the flying finish as well. Curiously never actually been in the stage there. A shame the rally doesn't make the mid- and north-Wales stages any more - it's just too far to go to be fun for the number of hours you spend on post.

I hope it was a good bank - I've seen how far a car can go and how quickly after a landing like that! Soft-suspension front wheel drive cars in particular don't take kindly to hanging the tail out over the bumps. The last one I went to we couldn't find all of it...
