A big cat, taken years ago with a 10D (6mp), using a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 DG Without Image stabilization, whilst being bounced along in an 8 meter RIB. Begs the question, do I really need 30mp and image stabisation?

I very often think that, how did we manage in years gone by, having said that I'm as guilty as hell of buying new gear - wife thinks its an illness
I bought the R5 + 100/500 + 1.4 Extender + EF-R Mount Adapter for no other reason than I thought it was a good idea. The past two days I've spent on Salisbury Plain - what did I take, my 1D X MkII +70/200 + 16/35 and did the job adequately.
It's not only camera gear. Car's, in my youth I had an old A40 I used to drive up to the Lake District every weekend to see a girl I was smitten on with no problems whatsoever. Now I got a car that seems to be computer controlled, all sorts of messages popping up on the screen while I'm driving. Only yesterday while driving home from Salisbury I was informed I'd lost my GPS signal - big deal, I arrived home safely
BTW, Nice shot of the Cat, there will be some crackers of these in Plymouth this weekend.
