    Today's karting

Like the colour on the helmet !
Any with the whole of the cart or some cool panned shots ?
I like some of these high shutter speed with wide aperture. But as someone who likes a challenge I find to a bit too easy :-)

I don't mean that in an offensive way, just being totally honest.

Here is a panned one - at 1/30

I would have thought handholding a 400 f/2.8 and composing on a kart at 30mph would have been a challenge

Yessir it would be, well done for responding to my bantery challenge in the best way possible :-)

Yeah I like the second one, much more wow factor.
We have to get shots that joe bloggs P+S can't, otherwise what's the point :-)

I find that my new kit suits my style very well so the pictures are beginning to flow. I am finding the 400 excellent for candids, although I haven't tried it in the street yet - but I am going to the dickens festival in a couple of weeks - I am tempted to just take pictures with the 400 and the 1d4 as a training exercise Fortunately I dont find them too hard to handhold.

Great shots Brian. Panning is a very good technique and the shots speak for themselves. I must get down to our local circuit to try panning

Much prefer the second Brian which has a sense of speed, the first is to static although it would probably go down well as the cover of a programme

Thank you - the pictures will be going to publicise the team. I have a mixture of closeup karting (difficult to get a panning close up) some panning and some of the team activites in the pits. In all I got about 50 of this quality IQ - it is up to the team which they choose.

Like Brian (Oldcannon) my wife chooses her favourites and they usually do best

As you like panning pictures - here is another with a quicker shutter time at 1/80 - I have just got enough of the drivers name on without it being too obvious ... It is a Rotax engined kart as well

Mode 2 IS used - straight from DPP, no cropping

I especially like the panning one! What track were these taken at?
