This is the only time in the year that our village becomes swamped with traffic, the International Horse Show at Blair Castle 40,000 visitors each day, chaos .

No doubt the owner of the castle will enjoy the gate receipts David whilst the locals have to put up with the intrusion to their peace and tranquility. Unless of course they have a local business that may reap the extra takings from the horse show visitors.
i read a recent news article about a road traffic accident in which four horses on the way to the show were killed after the horse box was hit by an articulated lorry

Re the horses yes two died in the accident and the other two had to be put down, apparently the lorry driver was on the mobile and hit the broken down horse box. Local business does benefit the hotel and two shops. The only thing is the tannoy is so loud that the village here’s it and so do we a mile up in the hills.
