Lovely atmospheric shot of a World Class Plane, great cloud effect in B&W too and love the light on the side of the fuselage, the only thing B&W misses out on, is when the burners are lit as in your shot, you miss out on seeing the orange glow, but that is just my own opinion.

Great shot, wish I had taken it.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Paul, it is appreciated. And you are right, the afterburners look good in the original colour version.

Excellent shot, on the subject of the after burners, maybe leave them in colour, leaving the rest in mono?

Great picture, Scuff. Mono certainly makes the picture more evocative.

I am not a lover of mono ... I do however like this and also agree with John's suggestion of leaving the after burners in colour.

                  Hi Scruff,

An excellent shot! Typically I find myself "trying" to fill the screen with the aircraft as skies typically become overexposed and uninteresting - but your shot proves how wrong that can be!

                  Verrrrry nice.

EXACTLY what I was thinking of when looking at the shot!

Great conversion, never the less. Well done!

                          Thanks again for the comments.
This print is currently touring the midlands as it was accepted in an open completion. It is in the mono class and therefore couldn't have any colour in it.
If I'm honest, and no disrespect to anyone - I don't like mono images with a bit of colour. it's a cheesy process that I see all to often.
Thankyou anyway, I respect your thoughts and observations.
