    Powered up Jaguar

    Hi All,

Going through some old stuff that I took earlier this year I came across these Jaguar shots. Not often you see a Jaguar out on a runway moving under it's own power so I thought these pictures might be of interest.

When and where? I think this GR3A moved to Cosford as a GI airframe.

Always nice to see 'old' kit.

        Hi Guys,

I don't know how many Jaguars they have at Cosford but there's quite a few - probably more than we think. It would be good to see one airborne some day or even doing fast taxi runs at Bruntingthorpe

          Nice shots Neil,

Isn't it a shame that we don't keep at least one of each of the iconic Jets flying in the UK after they go out of service, Lightning, Phantom, Harrier, Buccaneer, Jaguar etc. We don't seem to have learned anything from the past when we scrapped all the Halifaxes, Wellingtons, Stirlings, Blenheims, Whitleys, Typhoons, Tempests, Defiants etc etc etc.

          Regards Paul

Here I was thinking it was the car. That aside, nice set of images Neil.

I quite agree ... but the CAA regard many as 'complex' and will not let them fly ... now if it was the RAF/RN job ... ah but then that would tax payers money. I'd vote Yes if asked did I want to keep an example of each flying.

btw - Spend the kids inheritance with an edge of space trip in a Lightning (If only I had kids I would).
