    North American Aviation Harvard ll

    While out at Cresswell as well as the flyby of the owl , we had this aircraft which i've since been told is a North American Aviation Harvard ll

      That's happened to me all too frequently! I've been out and about shooting wildlife and an aeroplane or helicopter goes over so instinctively I take a few shots and forget that the shutter speed is still set far too high!

        You want around 200-300 of a second to get a good prop blur... but not bad considering you do not take aircraft photos.

        The prop BTW is only there to cool the pilot.... don't believe me?, watch one when it stops, they soon start sweating.

          The really funny thing about these photos is that in the Bird Hide i'd just been in , someone had wrote on the 'Spotted' Board....

            A good all round speed for prop jobs is 1/320, although you have some good angles, the aircraft is a tad too central, try and leave a bit more space at the front than at the back.
