    Coningsby 14-03-11

    Hi All,Hi All,

These pics are a bit belated, but hopefully, better late than never :sorry: Had a really good day out - I needed something to take my mind off events in Japan. My eldest son teaches English in Tokyo, so Friday was especially harrowing, but everything has worked out for him okay. So, back to the job in hand - piccies.

After a late breakfast the RAF started work

    Thanks for looking.

    Hi Neil,

Glad your son is OK in Tokyo that is a great load off your mind.

Great pictures as normal, my favourites are #1 and #4 in #2 I may have been inclined to crop a litle more from the top to just remove the white side of the building behind and a the grass to form a letterbox framed image which I feel has more impact.

I like the aircraft images so keep them coming.

Glad your son is OK Neil.

Those aircraft shots are so good, ....................... they could almost be models!

        Thanks guys.

Muscat - If you crop #2 then you loose a lot of the 'jelly' effect from the afterburner heat & the left wing just looks as though its out of focus.

Yes very good. These taken from 'outside' or do you get on base?

I guess some have flown down to the Med in the last few days.

              Hi Neil

Love the shots - if I had to chose my favourites are #1 & #5, just great photos you must be pelased with them. My best mate is an ex Tornado front line pilot and ended up as a trainer on the Typhoon at Coningsby, where we visited him a number of times and your pictures brought back some of those memories! Can almost hear the fantastic noise these jets make!!

Glad to hear all ok for your son

                Hi Neil.

As others have said, great to hear family OK, that's the most important thing.

#2 and #5 for me, but great shots all. Love the exhaust plume in #2... must get to an air show this year... must buy a 70-200 as well. Shhh, don't tell the wife.

                Cheers, Mike.
