    Thompson B1 on the NYMR

    IMG_1089-Edit

Thompson B1 at Beck Hole pulling the Lunchtime Diner Last Saturday on the Autumn Welsh Steam Gala .
Got a delightful Video on Flickr of her pulling up this 1 in 49 Gradient , complete with wheel slips before she appears and a cheeky little whistle as she passes .

            Thanks for the comments !
Yes Peter that's the bridge , the view of the trains coming up from Grosmont is fantastic , they sure do work up that gradient !
The only annoying thing about that day was the 'Permit' Enthusiasts/photographers in bright hiVis jackets who kept wandering along the line and setting up camp in line of sight (right on the bend looking down this way).
It's a great place to view and there's also a pretty good (if expensive) model shop just up the road from the Bridge .

(here's the video if anyones interested https://youtu.be/HphWl-mS4QM )

A classic shot for my money.
