    Mike Hawthorn Appreciation Society Gathering

The Mike Hawthorn Appreciation Society was meeting at The Barley Mow in Tilford. The reason for the get together today was to remember that on this very day in the 1958 Moroccan Formula One Grand Prix Mike Hawthorn became the 1958 Formula One World Champion. Sadly to lose his life on the A3 at Guildford in the following January. The Barley Mow was Hawthorn's local back in the day.

Excellent set Robert and a great reason for the meet. The XK is glorious, if only, sigh

A great set Robert I've always had a soft spot for Bristols but would find garage space for any of these

          Cheers,

Is that Bristols as in the cars? That Healey looks stunning, somewhere along the way we have just lost the ability to produce beautiful looking open topped cars. Excellent photographs and a well put together narrative.
