    60009 “Union of South Africa”

Having had its 'hot box' repaired, LNER A4 No: 60009 “Union of South Africa” was told all is OK. It is seen at Woodville on the South Devon Railway heading for Bristol via the triangle (for turning) at Laira Depot on the 3rd September 2015.

I think it might have lost a carriage or two...

Well captured from a great angle.

Lovely image of steam engineering. It came through our local station back in 2008 on a tour one Saturday morning. Must go through my rail photos to see what else I have forgotten!

A great shot Colin from a very good perspective, it definitely seems very short of carriages though!

A farmer friend is a pal of the owner of that, I'm kinda hoping to get a ride in the cab now it's off the mainline rails one day.
