North Yorkshire Moors Railway Trusts 2023 Steam Gala

I decided to have a brief visit to the NYMR to capture some steam engines that were running in this years Gala. The weather was changeable luckily the rain didn't cause too much trauma nor did it persist, luckily the sun managed to occasionally break through the clouds.

    1. A double header at Moorgates with 92214 in front of 92134 heading for Pickering.

    2. Sir Nigel Gresley heading to Pickering

    3. And again

    4. And Away (for those who watch Gone Fishing )

    5. This Tank engine number didn't show up on the timetable nor was it listed in their website details of the gala. So I don't have any more details about it.

Great set Peter, really like the “and awaaaay” shot, the cloud formation adds to the shot.

Just an update on the last image. I spotted this on NYMR social media, no wonder I couldn't find it on the timetable!

          From NYMR Social Media:-

Today 80136 has been re-numbered to 80116 which hauled the last train from Scarborough to Whitby West cliff and then on to Middlesbrough through Sandsend on 5 May 1958
