Hi,

To me it looks like he's dumping fuel. I caught a Tornado last year at Conningsby do same thing - the vapour trails are very similar. The Tornado had an undercarriage problem, according to the scanner, and had RTB. Maybe the Sentry had some sort of a problem, too.

It was circling for most of the day. Caused a bit of a stir, people wondering what it was up too.Apparently they were doing system checks on the radar dish ( given out on the local news )

Was that taken anywhere near Waddington air base. I remember seeing that or something very similar from my back garden not too long ago. I live in Branston which is a couple of miles from the base and I see loads of planes circling before landing.

It was taken near Waddington, but the Sentry was circling over Norfolk at the time...

Nice effect the concentric vapour trails ... I'd side with it doing calibration tests. Mind you it could be testing some mind changing drug on the people of Norfolk. Nah I'll stick with calibration tests.
