    Anchors Away

While standing on the pier after debarking at Key West, I noticed these 2 anchors:

    Camera EOS SL1 (100D)
    Lens EF 24-105mm f/4L @ 24mm
    1/100 sec @ f/10, ISO 100

Anchors are a good spot, but the ship rather overpowers them.

        Hi Tom,

I hope you don't think it impertinent, but have you considered a tighter crop:

The second one for me with close up and clean back ground.

But that said image 3 is a perfect memento shot.

              Re: Anchors Away

Nice set, the shape and pattern of those anchors would have appealed to me as well.
If you wanted to make the anchors in the first one stand out you could create a layer and blur out the ship a bit more and then a mask to brink the anchors through.

(Get me! Seven months ago I knew nothing about editing now I have the impertinence to offer editing advice/comments!)

It was just a thought Tom. Hope you didn't mind.

                  Re: Anchors Away

I like the second one (Image 1 of your second post) although may have considered cloning out whatever that is in the water at the top left of the image. I must admit I really like that even in black and white, you get the feeling of how rustic the anchors are.
