Camera Strap

I would like to get a new camera strap (mines the original Canon one & its not very comfortable) but not sure what to go for. I will probably have to buy off the internet & so not be able to try out the strap first. It is for my 40D camera with - 70 -200mm IS L lens. I have had some serious neck surgery so need something which will spread the weight and be comfortable. Any suggestions?

For my 5DMKII the strap I use and like a lot is the Blackrapid

Agree with Optech.
Why do Canon provide their cameras with stiff, scratchy, uncomfortable straps?

Another happy OpTech customer here, I like the sling-strap though. You can even attach the lens and the camera to the same strap.
