    Walking Pole / Monopod

Can anyone recommend a decent walking pole with some system in the head to convert to a monopod?
I've seen several on the Amazon website but at the very low price of around £10. Not surprisingly they seem rather flimsy and only good enough to support a compact camera.
I'm looking for something light enough to take on holiday and yet sturdy enough to support my DSLR with a reasonable telephoto lens. Budget probably around £70-80 but I can be flexible
    Any help much appreciated.

I use my Manfrotto 681B monopod as walking pole, no problems at all.

It does not have the formed handgrip, but it will suffice.
The camera works just fine, it's the idiot staring through the viewfinder that need's help!

Or the Leki Sierra (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leki-Sierra-.../dp/B0042777BW).

I have to say the Leki looks good and has excellent reviews on Amazon.com. Plus my sister in law, a serious walker , swears by Leki poles & would buy no other brand.
Better go for this, if only to avoid her (potential) wrath!

If you want some really good walking poles I'd suggest you have a look at http://www.pacerpoles.co.uk/
They are really good as poles. They do an adapter that will fit for £15. It's on that link under Product.
