Re: Geo tagging Raw Files
Hi Roy;
There's a few threads about Gero-Tagging on the forum...
Just type 'tagging' in the search box top right of the forum home page, and it will reveal 4/5 threads for you to look at...
Hope that helps...I actively encourage constructive comment & critique of any image I post!
Feel free to edit & re-post as you see fit - but please - tell me what you have done to 'improve' the shot!

Re: Geo tagging Raw Files
Roy, There are some programmes out there that will geotag RAW files. But IMHO adding data to RAW files is undesirable. I don't want anything added by any software to my RAW files, my jpeg's are another matter. Also bear in mind the time that this takes as RAW files are large in size by their very nature and adding data to them takes time particularly in the save process.
If I haven't put you off have a look at Geosetter from here.

Re: Geo tagging Raw Files
Hi Thank you Colin.
I found Geosetter earlier today and have tried it and it seems to be ok.
I do take your point very seriously re messing with RAW files. Ideally I would like to do this in camera and the only device I have found is the JOBO. I have read mixed reports about the device.
Thanks again for your sound advice.Roy

Re: Geo tagging Raw Files
I'm still looking for decent software that can marry up the GPX from my Garmin GPS with a folder of images (post processed but with EXIF intact). Tried a few things but all very clunky. I should develop my own application really!
I do wish Canon would start putting GPS into cameras ... for those that walk a lot (like me) it would be very useful. Even my mobile phone will geotag images.
