    Selfie-stick for EOS

Have been seeing so many people using selfie-sticks to take photos with phones and compacts that I wondered how one would do it with an EOS.....

My old 50D no longer fires with the shutter button but does so quite happily with the cable release, so, with a few things from the depth of the garage I came up with this -

What next? Should I take the idea to the Dragons' Den? Work on portability? Find a more productive way to use my time?

    Cheers, Chris.
ps - it actually works.... but not posting the picture of my grinning face.....
    Just chuggin' along.

I think Peter Jones will be rushing to make an offer so he can stock it in Jessops ;o) - I assume you have a world wide patent on this

Had to check today's date to make sure it wasn't April 1st :)

My Mother in Law can fly these things so it could become more than a selfie stick.
Forget the expensive helicopter things, just put two seats, one for Mother in Laws and one for their black cat on this and you have something that could go to Peter Jones in The Den.

Now make it telescopic and include the shutter release and you've a finished product!

Hi, All. Thanks for the comments and support. There is clearly going to be massive interest in owning such a useful accessory, but perhaps I should first ask Robert Scott to sell it through the EOS Magazine Shop so we can keep it as an aid exclusively for serious EOS users...
                Cheers, Chris.
(Am now considering the more compact, lightweight version based on a kitchen mop.)

Think it really needs a 3 way pan and tilt head of the front end though

It's a fantastic idea but I have one major concern. When one put its down or away when not in use, how would one find it again given that it is so inconspicuous and unassuming???
