    Rear drop-in filter

Im hoping to purchase a CP filter for a Sigma (Canon fit) 300/2.8 lens. Anyone use this type of filter and found any problems?

    Re: Rear drop-in filter

I had a Canon one for a day, with the intention of buying one if it was of any use. As it is the same drop-in filter for all Canon large telephoto's, it didn't seem quite so expensive if I could use it equally on the 300mm f2.8 and the 500mm f4. Much as I tried, I couldn't see any real benefit to having one for the shots I take, so I returned it and didn't buy one.

Pity ........... I like new toys!

        Not at those prices Glenn.

I am not afraid to spend money, but I do draw the line at being confronted by a bloke on a horse, wearing a mask and pointing a flintlock at me!
