430 exii + ST-e2 V 580 exii

Have big birthday coming up soon and relatives want to know what I want .......... Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!

I am trying to do a bit more off camera flash stuff and already have a 430 exii.

If they are up for it, should I get another 430exii and an ST-E2 so I can have two flashes off camera or should I just go for a 580exii which acts as a trigger but will be either on camera or connected to a short cord ? Or am I talking complete rubbish and someone has a much better solution .................help

If it's going to be occasional use, get the 580EX II and a reflector on an adjustable stand. If funds permit, you can get some Ebay cheapy senders to fire the flashes, if not use the 580 on camera, or with remote cord to fire the 430 as a slave and the refector as some fill.

If you are going to be more keen, you can ditch the Ebay cheapies and invest in the ST-E2 later, or even better, Pocket Wizards.
