    A question for those with "hybrid" bodies!

    Hi Guys;

    Anybody with a 5D MkII, 7D or any other body capable of HD "video"...

    In HD mode - are the frames captured as single files - or is the "whole" sequence one file?

    Are you able to capture a single frame from within the sequence, and treat it as a "regular" digital image?

    What is the quality like - compared to a "regular" digital image?

    M. Thx.

      Yes, it is one continuous file, and yes you can cut a frame out of it. However, you can capture a still image while recording video - simply press the shutter at the chosen time.
