Smallest, lightest Canon DSLR body past or present?

I am thinking of getting a small Canon body just to keep around most of the time and was wondering which model, past or present might hold the title of being the smallest, lightest body that Canon made?

Would like to slap on either a nifty fifty or otherwise small, light lens (40mm pancake maybe?) to give me a truly walk round Canon DSLR that I can pick up at a moments notice.

I already have an Ixus HS220 compact but am looking specifically for a DSLR...

What body/lens combination should I be looking for?

    Thanks & kind regards,

The upcoming EOS M (*) will be the lightest (under 300g) followed by the EOS 1x00D series. The 40mm is very light and has very good performance.

(*) okay not a true DSLR but you can with an adapter bolt your EF lenses on it. There will be a range of dedicated lenses as well.

Last year I was tempted by the Lumix CSC cameras for the same reason as yourself.
Ended up with a 600D as it was only a wee bit bigger.
Although slightly bigger than the 1xxx series its a stunning wee thing and great for the days when I don't need a gripped 5D2 or 7D
