Well done Stu. I think you made the right choice all the othe options were going to be a compromise to you, nothing wrong that, but I think it's always safer to buy the one you really want, even if it means waiting a little longer.

I went from a 5D2 to a 1ds3 - a good move now that the 1DS3 is cheaper the 5D3. The 1DS3 is a fabulous camera.

I use it as my standard camera. I have a wide selection of cameras to use ie 1D4, 7D etc and it is the one I reach for unless I am I wand fast speeds or lower light pictures. The ability to shoot in Portrait and Landscape without the extras is a major bonus

I clappers along at 5hps so it is no slouch
