I own a 50D which has recently had a new shutter fitted. Just this morning it was giving me error 20 and making a weird electrical screech sound when the shutter was going back down, it was also making a similar noise when autofocusing in live view mode (shutter has to lift I think). It also stopped responding to the shutter button. Now all of a sudden it is working fine again. I have no idea how or why, and with what I do I need a reliable camera. My backup camera is away for repair at the moment.
