Just noticed two parts to "Firmware Update" Camera and Lens
Have no problems with the camera update, but what is the lens update and
how is it done....?

I just updated my 6D and saw only the firmware update for the camera body just like every update. I have never seen a lens update. what is the URL for that? I am curious.

Hi the lens firmware for some of the newer lenses such as the 300mm f2.8 mkII and the 600mm f4 mkII can be updated via the latest cameras such as the 1DX. There is probably a list on the CPS website.

Of course, you could try and persuade Canon USA to buy copies for their CPS members - we are happy to give discounts for quantity!

The firmware update for lenses on the 6D appeared after a recent 6D camera firmware (update) install. Didn't notice it before this. Anyway
one 40mm pancake successfully updated.
