Line across screen

[Derry-Canon Fan]

Hi was using my 1D Mark 2N today, when a line developed across the screen, almost like a sun line, but it wasn't sun.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a failure on the screen, whole row of pixels out. Presumably this is only the rear screen and doesn't affect the sensor?

No Colin, a line appears across the whole image.

Oops!

That's going to cost a new sensor and much as I loved my MKIIn in it's day, I would question the cost effectiveness of fixing it, being very much old technology compared to its modern equivalent.

Thought as much, some Mark III bodies going at excellent prices.

Well worth the upgrade as it was quite a jump between MKIIn and MKIII. Takes a lot more setting up than the MKIIn, but if you get one you can do a search on this Forum for a good set-up.

I already have a mark 3 Colin, have it a few years, its my baby and work horse, would like another or mark 4
