    Oberammergau

Any member who has been to see this passion play held only once in 10 years, may like to advice me on the best two types of zoom lenses I'd find most most useful for my trip this year. I am booked in go in July. I will of course take my Canon 430Ex flash gun just in case I am allowed to use my flash. I thought of taking the EF 75mm -300mm USM ii & the EF28mm-105mm USM ii lenses. I also have an 18mm-55mm IS lens and a EF-S 55mm-250 IS lens.

    I will welcome you advice.
    Canon 6D; Canon 760D;Canon G15;Canon 40mm f2.8(Pancake);Canon 50mm f1.8(ii); Canon 17mm-40mm f4L;Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM;Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 STM lens;Canon 24mm-105mmf4L IS;Canon 70-300mm f4-f5.6 L IS USM;Kenko 1.4x HD TC;Canon 430EX ii flash;Giottos tripod;Manfretto monopod;Cokin P filters + bits and pieces!

      Hi Nathaniel,
Check out the official website FAQs section.

      The Bad News
Q: Is it allowed to take photographs during the performance?
A: No, it is not allowed to take photographs during the performance. Video recording is not allowed either.

      The Good news
Q: Will there be a new picture book on the Passion Play 2010 published?
A: Yes, there will be a new Passion Play 2010 book published around end of April, beginning of May in German. The book will be published in English shortly afterwards.

      Hope this helps,
      Millie

Good I asked advice from the members.
Thanks for your advice Millie. I have been "foiled again"- the first was with the Turin shroud, which is only exhibited once in 25 years or so. I was not allowed to lift my then Pentax MX or ME Super!!! when I went there in the 1990's.

I will anyway take my 18mm-55mm lens as adviced by briansquibb
