It would be great to see some stuff scanned from negs or prints, from the the older guys ans gals on the forum.
I'd love to see people's first cars from the 60s and 70s and the comtempory street fashions from those dacades or earlier.

Have you seen my slides scanned via my scanner and posted on "images from E.Nigeria" (Under the African sub -continent heading). The slides are fine even after 50 odd years but by scanning them, they have lost some of the definition. I trust this this what you wanted to see.

I first bought Canon because my Pentax which I still like for slow moving or stationary things did not have the autofocus speed for aircraft and birds in flight. I started with a 50D which I part exchanged for a 7D and I now have the mighty 1D Mk IV.

I used Olympus dSLR kit, going through the range, having previously used an Olympus OM10 Film camera
Had a flirt with a 450D and 17-85mm in 2008, but return to a Olympus E-3
Now back with Canon, the 7D is mine, 500D is used by my wife, and 450D when son or daughter wish to come along with mum and dad.

This thread got me all misty-eyed with nostalgia, so have been trying to remember my SLR history, which I think goes something like this:

Film:
Praktica MTL-3 (stop-down metering!) -> Minolta X-500 -> Contax 139 + Yashica FXD -> Canon EOS 500 -> Canon EOS 500N

Digital:
Canon 300D (in Silver, which came off way too easily) -> Canon 400D -> Canon 7D

In medium format, I've had, and indeed still have somewhere!, a Lubitel 166B and a Bronica ETRS (for sale!)

Started off on the SLR road with a Second Hand Yashica FR (sigh !) which i had for years before turning off at the Canon junction with a 500N

2001: 300 - retired and lives in a box in the attic.
2006: 350D - sold.
2009: 500D - taken over by my wife.
2010: 60D - current and used all the time.

If I upgrade, it'll be to a full frame with GPS and wireless.
