Does somebody know where I can find the shuttercount on my 550D?
    With kind regards,

We ran an article on this in the January-March 2014 issue of EOS magazine, pages 36 to 38.

This free atro-photography application will give you the shutter-count on EOS cameras.

I used it when I wanted to sell my 7D, so that I could quote the 'shutter count'.

You can't from the camera itself - Canon hide that information from the user for some reason, I suspect to avoid possible hacking to reset it and so sell a high user camera with apparently low shutter count.

You can run applications on your computer to get at the data. A quick google for "eos camera shutter count" shows a few hits. I've not done this myself hence I'm not recommending anything or even suggesting a possible option. Others may have though...

If you are using a Mac, you could look at the EOS Inspector App. or the ShutterCount App.

          Regards.

                Re: Shutter Count

Before starting this thread I've tried some other software wich I found om the internet. Nothing was working. One thing I did not try: Magical Lantern. I did not trust that.

Now I can mention the Shutter Count in the sellingtext, maybe it helps.
