M2 tryout at James Herriot Museum.

Recently purchased a Canon EOS M2, the reasoning behind this, I was travelling to Leeds the other morning, and heading out of our valley, at the top of the hill, it was such a glorious sunrise, and I didn't have a camera with me, so decided to buy something compact I could keep in the car permanently, couldn't justify the cost of an M3, so bought a s/h M2 with 22mm f2 lens +90EX flash.
And what a pleasant surprise it's turned out to be, the image quality is surprisingly good, and the images at relatively high ISO (3200) are very clean, negligible distortion, vignetting or CA, and works well across most apertures, although at f22 it definitely falls off. Downsides, lack of viewfinder....but something I'll get used to I reckon, reports that battery life is not so good.
Don't think it will ever replace my usual DSLR, but for something to keep in the car, and those times you can't be arsed to lug heavy gear around.
Anyway, had my first real try out when I had a ride over to the James Herriot Museum in Thirsk the other day.

I wish Nat, I think it represents James Herriot, relaxing after a hard days work in the Dales.

Good set Les, particularly the third shot.

Do the whites look a little grey in the first or is it me?

They look OK to me Alan (but I could be wrong), I'm assuming you mean the white covers on the arms & back of the chairs, and not the cream gloss paint?

Good for you getting an M2! I have been using a recently purchased M3 in Barbados for the last month with excellent results in my opinion, including some motor racing (yes, they have a fully fledged circuit!). Focus a little slow for the latter still, but just needed to hone anticipation to offset. Tried to post an example on here without success so will need to wait until we get home next month.

Looking at it again in a different light, it looks good to me too. Another lesson learnt Les
