    yep, I think we are both hoping to see IDx ii sensor, if not I may have to consider options ...Roll on April ...plus I get my new toy then as the car turns up after waiting 5 mths grrrrrrrr

          Yes they are. Not too long back (just under 1yr) Nikon's entry level models had more MP (24 as opposed to 18), more AF points (39 on the 5200) etc, until the T6i & S. Canon seem to be doing nothing to improve brand loyalty, l mean, who would say that the latest eos M is the best CSC ever? Not one magazine or website. They currently seem only interested in attracting high end pro clients. Unless they wake up and truly innovate, they risk losing out big time, to Sony, Panny, Olympus. Only consolation is that Nikon isn't interested in mirrorless either.
