    my eos 60d

With the new sx30is zoom range of 24-834mm why purchase an eos dslr as I recently did with the eos 60d?

Maybe these comments from a review of the sx30is may help answer your question.....

The good: Flexible lens range; excellent image stabilization; features for every kind of user.
The bad: Generally soft, noisy photos at full size; overall slow performance; no raw capture.
The bottom line: The Canon PowerShot SX30 IS is a point-and-shoot camera with a 35x zoom lens. As long as you're not expecting much more than that, it's a very good megazoom.

Because the dslr 60D is the right choice you made.

      With the new sx30is
It not new it came out last year, and the sx30 Vari-angle 6.8 cm (2.7”) Approx. 230,000 dots, and is only 14.1 MP CCD No RAW option Only 1.3 fps in full-res, Iso 1600.only.
