CANON 1DX II FOCUS SCREEN MENU OPTION

Hi, I was wandering if anybody can help with this question.
I have a couple of manual focus lenses. Zeiss Distagon. 35mm 1.4 and 21mm 2.8.
This relates mainly to the 35mm. When the camera in built meter reads correct.
The lenses under expose by 2,3,4 stops. 21mm not as bad.
I have change the focus screen setting within the menu on Zeiss advice to EC-A,B,L from EC-C6.
Which cures the issue. My question is will this have any adverse effects at all ? I have centre weighted set.
Will my normal EF auto lens work ok ? As not tried yet.

I have tried most things on the 1Dx, but never that one. I would be most interested to hear the results of your tests.

Just as an afterthought, if there is a difference between the Zeiss and EF lenses, it may be possible to set up different settings in your custom functions and switch from C1 to C2 depending on which lenses are fitted.
