    Any one tried one of these?

    I haven't used one, but I do have a Yongnuo speedlite, and rate it highly. I'm sure someone will be along soon with an opinion!

        Great value for money and a nice piece of kit which comes in it's own case.

              If i did not already have the canon version i would not hesitate to get one. I have a yongnuo speedlight and you would be hard pressed to tell it from my canon 580 ex

                I've got the Nissin MF18 and very pleased with it and fraction of the cost of a Canon version

                    I suppose it really depends how close your getting - a ring flash offers the benifit of very targetted light hence why its used a lot in marco work
