hi guys can someone recomend a polarising filter for a canon 10-22mm lense . i was looking at a hoys but then i read somewhere that it only works above 15mm properly and that the hoya pro1 is better , is this true just wondered what anyones opion is and what other people use please

The Pro 1 filter is thinner than the regular filters; that's why you'll get a little more of a wider angle out of it... but as Elaine says, at any wide-angle, you're going to get some vignetting; and with the polarizer at full strength you will see some deep variations in the skies blues; they need careful use with wide-angles...Cheers;

Personally I wouldn't use a polarising filter on the 10-22. You'll find it Ok at the longer end, but you'll find that the polarising effect will not be even over the image, which may be ok in some instances, but then at the wider end you will get some vignetting. I find that because of this I just use my pro 1 on the 24-105, and a uv on the 10-22. Then I can use it without worrying about how wide I'm shooting at.
