I have had the 15-85mm lens and enjoyed it very much. Brilliant images. I sold it when I bought the 24-105mm lens. It doesnt fit any full frame camera bodies but only on crop bodies like the 600D,60D,550D and so on.

FYI, EF lens can and do fit EF-S camera bodies, however, the EF-S lenses are made to fit the EF-S bodies only as they extend out a little further on the backside than a EF Lens. For that reason, if you try and use a EF-S lens on a EF body, there is a high probability that you will damage both the lens and the sensor on the EF body.

Stop ! - Stop ! - Stop ! before you damage your camera.
The 1D markIII will only accept EF lenses.

EF-S lenses such as the Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS ;ens are designed only for APS-C (crop cameras) such as 450D. 60D, 7D.
These cameras also accept the EF lenses.
Full-frame cameras can only be used with Canon EF lenses & some 3rd-party lenses..
