    Which lens for wildlife?

Hi all I'm after a lens for my wildlife photography and not sure which one? I have a 600d body and currently have a 55-250 lens that I use. Thanks in advance.

    Shane.

    Go big, 800mm!!!

No seriously, it all depends on what you want to do and what you can afford, or can't!

Generally, unless you have very deep pockets, these tend to be the options:

      Canon 100 - 400mm L

      Canon 300mm f4 L + 1.4x extender

      Canon 400mm f5.6 L

I think you should consider the excellent 70-300 L IS USM too!

I've had one for a year and it's a great quality lens, with a very versatile range. I now it on my 7D, and it's great on a crop camera.

The lenses listed above a good lenses too, so it depends on whether you want prime / zoom, and your budget!

        Cheers, Mike

          Can't argue with those recommendations
Canon EOS R6 Mark II, Canon RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1L, Canon RF 24-105mm f4L

Kinda depends on budget... there is no real substitute for the longest focal length you can get at no worse than f5.6, possibly using an extender...
The 300 f4 plus the 1.4x is an example...
For less money the 70-300 IS is a nice lens.
In-between there is the 100-400, but getting a good one has been a trick from time-to-time (or so people tell me)...

If your budget doesn't stretch to the Canon options, there is the Sigma 120-400 and 150-500. I have used the latter for 3 years and it is a good lens.
