Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM OS Lens

Can any one tell me if the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens will attach to the Canon 1.4 extender.

If the Sigma lens is Canon fit then yes, it will.

Err... not convinced, needs lots of bits of glass and metal to work out... it only works with a select number of Canon lenses... I'd ask Sigma first if I were you... (in case they have any glass elements too close to the rear of the lens).

I'm with DrJon, Sigma teleconverters work on Canon lens but do Canon extenders work on Sigma lenses ?
Could be expensive if you don't get it right.
Sigma are very helpful, give them a call.

If I've read it correctly, Sigma says yes

That looks like a chart of which Sigma Teleconverters the lenses work with, not what Canon Extenders, but I may very well be missing something?

Only that I have the Sigma 1.4 and that says it is compatible with the same lenses as the Canon. In other words it is the same physical fit. So if the Siggy fits it then so will the Canon. Probably.

I have a couple of the Canons, and they do go some way inside the lens... For example it would want to go quite some way through the rear element of the 85/1.2.

Thanks for all the responses. I can confirm that the Canon extender does fit the Sigma 70-200 and works with no problems.
