Although I have got the Simga UWA 15-30mm lens, I bought the so called marmite lens- the 17-40mm lens as it is much lighter than the Sigma (weight is a serious issue with me), and it's internal focussing, and more so it's price- I got it at a very good price in Mint condition with UV filter attached. There is nothing wrong with my Sigma, which is still a brilliant lens and is in near mint condition and is being offered for sale in our classified section.

I am not the sort who would change equipment for the sake of it; I did consider the Canon 16-35 f4 as well but for my needs and the type of pictures I take, I thought that the 17-40 would meet my needs well.
