    135 F2 L What's It Good For?

    Hi All,

I'm toying with buying a new lens and this is on my (very) shortlist. OK I know it's meant to be super fast to focus, super sharp, dreamy bokeh and generally excellent vfm. On the downside it can flare and isn't weather sealed.
I think i'd use it for a bit of street, the 70-300 isn't very discreet. But I need some other uses to really justify it.
It seems popular with indoor sports.
What else do people use it for?
Do you use it a lot?
    Opinions, gratefully received.

It seems popular with indoor sports.
I used this lens for ice hockey in which it worked a treat and it's very popular for portraits (though not something i did).
Never found it useful for the other subjects that i covered and eventually sold it and replaced with the 200mm prime (basicly to do kids football)
But it's a fine lens if you have can find a use for it.

Cheers Paul. I've read some interesting comments on Flickr about it.

I'm thinking of one of these on my 7D Mk2 cropped sensor, giving me theoretically at 216mm F2. Would look to use it for motorsport / action photography, Is it that simple??

I have one for my 5D iii
I use it for concerts, it's very discreet which does draw too much attentiolionlike my 300mm
It work well with a 1.4 converter and you still get F2.8
Some say it's Canon's best lens ever
