Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens

I wonder if any of the forum members have any experience of the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM macro lens?

A friend has one.

Cracking little lens, sharp as a button. Downsides are you are a little too close to flying insects and stuff and being EFS, is restricted to 1.6 cropped sensor bodies. He now has the 100mm f2.8 L IS macro.

All the reviews I have read seem to concur with that. It is a shame the 100mm version is so much more expensive!
