I have a Canon MX300 printer and the ink cartridges are the Pixma 40 & 41 and also the Pixma 37 & 38. I buy re-filled cartridges as they are much cheaper and suits my purpose.( I also have a Samsung ML 2165 laser printer for "heavy" work- i.e report writing). I find that the Canon cartridges do not last long and I wonder whether this is because I use re-filled cartridges, bought via Ebay OR because I sometimes leave the printer switched on for long periods to prevent callers disturbing me whilst I am doing some work. This Canon MX300 also has got a Fax etc which is also connected to my main phone line. I do not know whether my leaving the printer switched on for long periods sometimes approx 2 hours, is somehow drying up the printer cartridge ink.
Any ideas on this?
Thank you.
